Oh! The difference a day makes! On this early Easter morning, Pastor Butler explores the changes one day can bring about. We forget the importance of a 24-hour period, but Scripture shows us that God makes all of His changes, all of His differences in the space of a day. Each day of Creation brought about something that was not the day before; the day before the Flood was nothing like the day after it subsided; the day before their deliverance from Egypt, the Israelites were slaves. A new start, a new time, a new beginning: all happen in the space of a day. On this day, we mark Christ’s victory over his day of death. He stepped out of the grave and into this Day of Resurrection so that we can look forward to the Day He will return. How many things will we change in the space of our day, knowing what Christ has done for us?
