Look Not to the Heavens! — April 13, 2008
Synopsis ►
“Lift up your eyes on high, and see…” How high do you have to look to see Christ? Do you imagine that God is up in the heavens, removed and distant from you? In this purely Christological prophesy from Isaiah in the Old Testament, we clearly see that Christ came down to be in very close view. He came down to cross level, to eye level, to ground level to bridge the gap between Heaven and Earth. Don’t imagine that you need go on a fantasy journey to outer space to see God: your God is right here: on the Altar for , “The Lord is near you, even in your mouth!”
